LCDC Mission Statement

Communication comes from the latin root commune, which means “held in common”. Effective communication allows people to interact with each other, to conduct business, establish and main- tain relationships, and connect with one another . When the ability to communi- cate is impaired, either because it has failed to develop or has been lost through trauma, the results can be devastating.

LCDC's mission is to provide quality speech-language pathology services for all individuals with communication disabilities and to establish the most effective means of communication possible for them.
